Support our legal and advocacy fund

Friends of the CDFGPA is raising funds to protect member rights, uphold proper governance under the Societies Act, and restore transparency in the Courtenay and District Fish & game Protective Association with its members. Every contribution helps us stand together as a community.

Courtenay and District Fish and Game Protective Association has recently removed our ability to contact them directly and they are forcing us to deal with a Trial Lawyer based in Campbell River and we do not have the funds to compete with that.

Ways you can help our cause

Many of our long-standing members are seniors living on fixed pensions, so covering the costs of raising awareness and pursuing fair legal process requires community solidarity. Here is how you can support our collective effort.

Donate online

Contribute whatever amount you can to our online campaign to help ease the burden on fixed-income members. All donations, large or small are appreciated

Sign our petition

Add your name to our growing list of members demanding fair procedure and accountability across our society.

Attend General & Board meetings to stay informed

Stay informed, take part in member discussions, and make your voice heard when collective decisions are made.

Standing together for fair governance

Disciplinary actions contrary to the Societies Act harm our entire organisation. By pooling our resources and voices, we ensure that no single member is unfairly targeted or silenced.

Why financial support is needed

A substantial portion of our membership comprises older individuals, including many living on modest fixed pensions. Funding advocacy initiatives, legal consultations, and widespread member outreach should not fall on the shoulders of a vulnerable few. Your support ensures fair representation for everyone.

Take action today

We ask every concerned member and supporter to take action right now. Please consider making a donation to our GoFundMe campaign, signing our member petition, getting in touch directly, and attending our next scheduled meeting in Courtenay.
